The Hummingbird is one of our four major highways in Belize, connecting the West and South of the country and offers a constant procession of postcard perfect views. The Hummingbird first winds through limestone hill country, passing St. Herman's Cave and the inland Blue Hole. It then starts rising steeply, with the Maya Mountains with incredible views of green mountains studded with cohune palms and tropical hardwoods. Renowned for a variety of humming birds species, jagaur crossing and the sleeping giant mountain; this is hands down one of our most scenic highways.
Belize Shuttles proudly offer our private transfers to resorts along this highway incuding Caves Branch Lodge and Sleeping Giant Lodge at low starting prices of US$20.
